Sometimes, just to creep ourselves out, we like to look at and find creatures that (thankfully) live nowhere near us. The species of bugs, rodents and pests as a whole are quite fascinating, especially in the warmer climates like Venezuela.
Check out this incredible video of the Bat Eating Centipede And yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. Next time you see a centipede, you wont look at it the same way after watching this.

Here we are. Can you believe it's already March.? Everyone is ready for the temperatures to start warming so that we can all come out of hibernation. Think about it. Cooped up in the same place all winter long. We are all ready to break free of the cold temps and run free as can be!
We aren't the only ones that are ready to spread our spring wings. Termites are already making themselves known across the Triad, and Owner of The Dead Pest Society, Donna Parrish sat down to talk about termites and when we can expect to see these pests appear.
How will we know when we have termites?
If we wanted to see if we had termites, how would we go about doing that?
Contact The Dead Pest Society today...they can take care those termites!

What do fire ants sound like
Fire ants. They are a common problem here in the Triad and across the state. The venom of a fire ant sting causes stinging and swells into a bump. This can cause much pain and irritation at times, especially when stung repeatedly by several at once. The bump often forms into a white pustule, which is at risk of becoming infected if scratched; however, if left alone, it will usually go down within a few days. The pustules are unattractive and uncomfortable while active and, if the sting sites become infected, can turn into scars. Additionally, some people are allergic to the venom and, as with many allergies, may experience anaphylaxis, which requires emergency treatment. An antihistamine or topical corticosteroids may help reduce the itching. Here is a pic of multiple fire ant bites.
