Termites in the Winter

The winter blast that we just saw here in the Triad may have been fun for sledding, but not so fun for some homeowners who are seeing damage caused by termites. Just like us, termites and other pests and wildlife don't want to be in the cold. They seek refuge wherever there is warmth. If you don't have your home treated regularly, you can become a victim of unwanted, and sometimes dangerous and destructive creatures. Donna Parrish, one half of the owners at The Dead Pest Society, took some time talk about what the staff has encountered this week after the heavy snow.

If you or someone you know has or suspects they have termites Donna gives this piece of advice:

Another issue this week has been...squirrels. They're cute...but can be destructive

We've got another blast of cold air mixed with lots of freezing rain and sleet, which means creatures are looking for a safe place.

Thanks for reading and dont forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

Here are some pics of the termites found this week in the field.
